When their communities are threatened, three fearless grassroots leaders confront Big Oil and environmental racism. Fighting for a renewable future, they're proving that everyday people can change the course of history.

Directed by Oren Jacoby and written by Betsy West, This Is Not a Drill follows Justin J. Pearson, Roishetta Ozane, and Sharon Wilson, as they confront the environmental and public health consequences of the fossil fuel industry in their communities. From fighting a proposed oil pipeline in Tennessee to documenting methane emissions in Texas and organizing along Louisiana's Gulf Coast, the film chronicles their personal sacrifices and determination as they challenge some of the world's most powerful energy companies.

As their campaigns gain momentum, the activists are joined by unexpected allies, including descendants of the John D. Rockefeller family who have turned against their family's oil legacy to advocate for climate accountability. Blending intimate personal stories with a broader examination of environmental justice, corporate influence, and civic engagement, This Is Not a Drill argues that ordinary citizens, armed with persistence, evidence, and community organizing, can challenge entrenched power and inspire meaningful change in the fight against climate change.

The film is streaming now, free, on YouTube.
